Greg joined the faculty of the department of Geology and Geological Engineering at The University of Mississippi in 1995 where he now serves as Associate Professor and Chair. He holds a M.S. in Geology and a Ph.D. in Geological Engineering from the University of Missouri. Prior to coming to Ole Miss, Greg served as the GIS Coordinator for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Division of Geology and Land Survey where he was responsible for introducing GIS into the state agency and management of all GIS projects. Greg has been involved with the geospatial cluster in Mississippi since its early days including serving as a representative to the IHL Geospatial Council, the Associate Director for Research for EIGS, and the Director of the UM Geoinformatics Center.

Lisa has been with The University of Mississippi since 1993, working with Mississippi’s geospatial industry since 1997. Lisa holds a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University and a M.A. in Political Science from The University of Mississippi. Lisa’s responsibilities include implementing statewide business support activities in marketing and media outreach for the geospatial cluster.

Hal received his Bachelor’s in Geology from Millsaps College and his Master’s in Geology from The University of Mississippi. He teaches GIS and Remote Sensing based courses for UM and serves as project director on multiple research projects. Included in his duties are representing EIGS and the University Mississippi Geoinformatics Center (UMGC) as the Mississippi partner in the America View Consortium of Universities.

Chris has been employed at Stennis Space Center for over 30 years, most recently joining EIGS in 2000 to serve as the EIGS/Stennis Liaison. In this capacity, she manages the Stennis Offices and supports the EIGS Geospatial Industry Cluster members. Her professional background includes facilities management, business management, quality control, marketing, and multimedia. She is a member of Partners for Stennis and the Rotary Club of Stennis were she is a past two term President and now serves as Club Service Chair.

Marty, originally from Oxford, Mississippi, holds a B.S. in Geology from The University of Mississippi. Prior to joining the EIGS staff in
2005, Marty worked in construction management. Marty has completed ESRI’s Introduction to ArcGIS I, Turning Data into Information Using ArcGIS 9, GEOL 500, and Introduction to GIS.

After working for more than eight years for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Karen earned a Bachelor’s in Management and a Master of Public Administration from Southern University and A & M College, Baton Rouge, LA. Her prior professional experiences include internal audit, grant development/management, financial management, recruitment, pre-college enrichment, mentoring, staff/customer service training and development, and program management. Her past professional experiences have afforded her opportunities to serve as liaison to staff, administrators, and scientists from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Office of Naval Research (ONR).

Nancy has worked for The University of Mississippi since 1982, first with the Mississippi Mineral Resources Institute (MMRI) and then with the Office of Research. In October of 2003 she became the Project Coordinator for EIGS.
